Interesting that you would say this as the NWA pilot that was in attendance that day said no other DAL pilots other than the required DALPA union reps were present that day.......

What, I can't talk to my union Reps?

The A330 won't be flying ANYTHING over 12 hours without a second bunk being installed OR a concession to force a pilot to use the FA bunks. The current bunk room is one person capacity.

I think that this would be covered by our (JPWA) section of the contract on crew rest facilities.

The current JPWA provides for ONE pilot rest bunk on the A330.

Even for 12+ hour flights? That's what we're talking about right? If they want to go 12+ hours in it, they have to change the rest facility.

OR get a concession from the combined MEC.

We have been fighting a long hard battle on rest facilities at Delta. I would not expect the MEC to make any concessions in that area.

(Unproven legend warning)...supposedly NWA approached the FAA about a 12 hour waiver for the A330 with one bunk and they said "don't even bother asking." Which is the right answer, of course.
