UAL and CAL are morethan likely merging and the WHQ will be Chicago But I don't think this is Over.. If UAL and CAL merge in a Stock Swap. and Sucessfully combine operations and seniority lists as they actually SHOULD without all the BS that LCC and AWA did then this puts a LOT of Pressure on LCC to get their ACT together to BE Acquired. And it's My PERSONAL and Humble Opinion that this Will happen. I don't think there's an IF as much as a WHEN. LCC will be Acquired or be REMOVED from the Star Alliance. I think we should stay tuned because the smoke hasn't even BEGUN to clear. All of these "Fake" losses By CAL and UAL are just a "smoke screen" to keep the stock price steady. Just as I believe the $505M loss by AMR is on "Paper Only". The UAL contract talks are a bunch of Hogwash as well.. Whatever CAL settles for is what We'll get at UAL damn near across the board. (which By the By is CONSIDERABLY MORE than we're getting NOW!!) (And a DAMN sight more than LCC is going to get ANYTIME SOON!!) These guys (senior managment) are
'shady' but by NO MEANS STUPID!! they will get a decent contract going forward and then?? It's ON! It won't even BE an airline to airline competition anymore. It will be Alliance to Alliance. That's why al the "Mobbing up" is happening UAL has 6 747-422's in the desert @ VCV. And a few 777's there too. I'll bet if this happens, EVERY ONE of them will be returned to service by the end of 2010. Wanna Bet?!?
