I know a guy who knows a guy who used to work on the ramp in LGA - he says no.

On second thought....http://bit.ly/aw1Mgu

You wont find anyone with (credible) insider info posting on message boards. You and I will know when and if the rest of the world knows & that's when each company simultaneously addresses all shareholders through a official company press release. (Of course it's a common group fantasy to see the guys at the top doing the perp walk for insider trading).

Til then, it's all rumor, speculation, and whatever McNews you can find (which is also rumor and speculation).

Why would anyone want Airways back at the table? Face it, Airways was a pawn in United's game. They have played their part (to make Continental jealous) and will now go back to being the smallest legacy/lcc/whatever thef&^% carrier.

Now THATS funny right there, don't care who you are....

The best part of the above merger story is......

"Continental Chief Executive Officer Jeff Smisek, 55, would run the combined company as CEO while United’s Glenn Tilton, 62, would be chairman"

What? USAir attempted a hostile takeover of Delta. Delta didn't want any part of LCC from the git go. Are you seriously saying that Delta engineered that, in BK, to set up the merger with NWA later?
