I think its a big mistake taking the United name, in Latin America which is probably COs most profitable route network, United is just another word in the English language, nobody even has a clue that that airline exist. They are gonna have to spend some serious marketing $$$$ in LatAm before they change the name.

As of right now that is the tentative scheme, but obviously it can and probably will change by the time they actually bring them to the paint shop... Maybe they could have just kept the "United" font they presently have on their planes.

Even better let's not waste any money on paint jobs and see this venture make money as a business, as an airline. Pilot pay will take care of itself if we can make a profit. This paint job has to cost less and be easier to maintain than the darker multi shaded "rhapsody in blue" livery.

I think the CAL paint scheme will be easier to maintain. All that Blue tends to fade over time and the composite shops will be better equpped to maintain White cowls and radomes. I HOPE that Font on the United goes away, and changes to the arial font UNITED.
