Well, we're still the lowest paid jet pilots with some of the worst work rules. So, really not much has changed.

I guess we can't dispute that, but you still have to consider QOL; do you want to live in Dallas or Detroit or Newark? Do you want to commute, etc...

If you want to live in Dallas why would you choose Mesa over Envoy?

I just flew with a former Mesa pilot, who left after about 17 years at Mesa...

There is one reason you should choose MESA. If everywhere else says NO, then go to MESA.

Other airlines offer fast upgrades, high pay, better QOL, better medical benefits, better standards, and the list goes on. There is not one good reason to go to MESA. A two leg commute to any other company is better than going to MESA. Sorry. But it is. It's not that there is anything grossly bad about MESA it's just that there are so many better options right now. PDT, SkyWest, Envoy, Endeavor, PSA, Republic, and other airlines are much better options.

Have you actually commuted 2 legs? If you have, my apologies. It's hard to believe Mesa can be worse than that.

Depends, would you rather have a 2 leg commute and have some financial freedom or live paycheck to paycheck supporting a family as a four year CA at Mesa, because your paying 1100$ a month for health insurance through the marketplace? I left Mesa for an ACMI. First year FO pay with a few months to go, already made more money than my first three years at Mesa combined, and I have far superior health insurance to what I was getting in the market place. So when we all tell you about QOL, it is an extremely important consideration to yourself and your families happiness.
I came to Mesa having taken a three year break with only 100 hours of recency of experience. Back in 2013, everyone was pretty selective still, Mesa was the only one to give me a chance. For my particular case, and the time I did it, it was a perfect choice. Today however, there's many more opportunities that are competing stronger.
Well, you know, a two leg commute is horrendous, you won't be happy doing that...

Anyone who says a 2 leg commute is better than working at Mesa has never done it.

Mesa is not horrible if you live in base. Definitely not going to get rich working here, but much better than commuting (even 1 leg, much less 2).
