Angry BOHICA! Mesa Games Begin (continue)

Well, the games have begun... with the ink on the new contract not even dry yet, the company is voilating the PWA. They are denying hotel accommodation if you get reassigned or cancelled in-domicile! Many other violations are coming down the road and the Mesa MEC and worthless Hotel Committee will do nothing to help! You watch!

Read your emails. Grievance has already been filed.

I do. But we'll see how the grievance process goes. I currently don't have much faith in it. I even read the huge propaganda spiel about the bar raising, industry leading Mesa contract in the new ALPA magazine.

Unfortunately it's what the law requires when there is a contractual dispute.

“Industry leading”?!?!?!!! LMFAO!!! The Mesa contract is a total JOKE. There is NOTHING industry leading about it. Any moron who seriously thinks this contract is industry leading has no business in a cockpit.

The negotiating committee and most of the MEC marketed the contract as "industry average"....can't see where we achieved that. Since the TA passed the propaganda machine has died down. Now we just see the leftovers....lack of hotel for cancellations, etc

Not me that said it... ALPA (Mesa's pilot union) said it. And they said Mesa pilots got the contract they deserved. I agree. Mesa pilots DID get the contract they deserve. Maybe next time, in 6 or so years, Mesa pilots won't be so quick to bend over and take it in the shorts. BOHICA!

The first time I read the new contract I couldn’t believe it. I was at Xjet a few years ago. Guess there’s no comparison to that, and well..this sorry excuse of a contract. Our scheduling section alone was something like 80 pages..just for scheduling!! That’s a majority of Mesa’s entire contract.

Well, 58% of the pilots got what they deserved. The contract was aimed at the bigger bases where they knew the pilots would be happy with below average (but better than before).
