Lots of airlines went bankrupt during this period, including American Airlines and several regionals. Chapter 11 bankruptcy serves to right a company financially. Bankruptcy documents are a point in time, which now is a distant past. Show me something now.
And, I made enough money off of the American Airlines bankruptcy that I bought a house with the profits. I know a little about the financials of companies. I study them all the time and invest.
I consider JO shrewd, but realize he was dishonest and slippery enough for a federal felony conviction.
And, we are paying pilots above industry standard pay on the Ejet when you take 300% into account. This isn’t a company scrapping to get by.

SkyWest only tried to buy Mesa and failed thanks to ALPA since ALPA was running the creditors committee and to then MEC chairman. ( major pilot job loss if SW was successful)

And those HNL or SYD or Europe overnights, I'd much rather be in HSV or SYR or some midwest dung heap somewhere enjoying the overpriced hotel breakfasts. Gag me with a spoon.

Yeah, home basing, $100/hour first year pay, the whale, flying in your jammies, or dozing for dollars are the absolute pits.
