As far as complaints about Mesa, every regional has things to complain about. Ours are on par with others.
Then, when a pilot makes it to the majors, he will still find things to complain about.

I will believe 4 months when I see 4 months. Just last week, we had a Dec hire in the crew room. He still had not been scheduled for his SIMs or his oral.

On another topic, do Mesa pilots have the option of wearing hats? I know many don't like to, but I am just curious. Calmwinds?

I am seriously considering Mesa, so if it's true that it's down to 4 months, great! However, seeing is believing. However, I did find the attached screenshot interesting, "time is down significantly. There is still a few weeks wait."

They have a bad reputation due to their historically low pay, relationship between management and pilots and them low balling other airlines for flying. I know some great folks that work there, but the company is.......

Just come onboard. And, if there is an elongated training break, just take it as time to either travel or spend time with family.

I’ve heard Mesa has some of the worst overnight hotels in the worst parts of towns. Or just not getting hotels for split duty(stand ups) trips.
I’ve also heard of more than usual reflows and day 4extensions into reflows. Would make life hell for commuters.
I’m not a Mesa pilot but know a few prior Mesa pilots.

Since the new contract was put into place and the hotel committee in full swing, the worst hotels are gone. The remaining hotels with issues are being replaced as contracts expire. We stay with the rest of the regionals like Envoy, PSA, and Endeavor. Occasionally, we stay at a hotel where the majors stay. When we complain about hotels, we complain about things the company can’t necessarily control, such as the hotel shuttle pick up times in ATL.
We do reflow more than usual. But, they cannot exceed your footprint without your permission, meaning it is not a problem for commuters. Your line pay is guaranteed, so lost pay isn’t an issue. Since the new contract was put into place, I have only had one reflow that exceeded my footprint and that was because weather forced an additional reposition flight and an additional leg. Because it exceeded my footprint, I was paid 300% for all the flying that was beyond footprint.
As far as stand-up hotels, I have heard and experienced this issue.
