It is SIMs. All regionals are having this trouble. We just happen to pay them while they wait rather than putting new hires into a future class date when SIM time is available.

Or, just don’t answer the phone for junior assignments when the company calls. I know one guy that has the company blocked on his iPhone and only listens to the messages after they call.

The struggle with training has been we haven’t grown the staff on the line, only the number of aircraft. It isn’t for a lack of candidates, it is because our training department lacked foresight and planning. Then, we sat 4 airplanes because of a lack of pilots. United can’t be happy with that.

Anyway, I am looking forward to Havana flights. There. That is something positive.

Is it possible to sit more then 4 hours? Sure turn cancels or something. But that's not scheduled. The statement was we schedule sits in excess of 4 hours. We do not.
I would LOVE to send u an example followed by numerous failed attempts to get said hotel. Even the head of the union told me sits in base don’t apply....

[QUOTE=MagPBS;2563246]"Amazing, every word you just said....was wrong".

1. There are no sits greater then 4 hours. You see a pairing that was built with a longer sit, prove it.

2. You sit more then 4 hours you get a hotel. Read the contract.

......

And when u quote the contract scheduling still tells u no.... call out fat, get a lovely email from ur chief pilot..... please, please tell me NONE of this didn’t happen!! I will kiss JO’s ass!!!!

3. Nothing is built to max duty day due to buffers.
..The contract means nothing to MAG-management..748 pilots left the company in 2007 for this reason..Just ask your senior reps..JO is still there, so you can expect nothing less..

Our senior reps have Stockholm Syndrome. They don’t care about the younger pilots because they have enough seniority to get whatever they want. They start to sympathize with management. They are the company’s biggest defenders.

The company just gave back 1000 hrs of flying in which rjet got and is now based there. Look for the trickling of pilots to begin to stream as Mesa gives less and less about the contract and the people it represents. And of course The “union” will do nothing for u....get out NOW!!!
