Haha, they blocked me for making a laughing face. I hear people at Mesa despise the person who runs the social media pages.

On another topic, do Mesa pilots have the option of wearing hats? I know many don't like to, but I am just curious. Calmwinds?

Yeah, they are very quick to block anyone who posts anything remotely negative. And that can be something as simple as asking a legitimate question that they don't want people to know the answer to. Something like "How long does it take from the 1st day of training to IOE completion if you are assigned the E-Jet".

Which is the same reason they don’t explain that a pilot has to be based in IAD or IAH in order to be eligible for the United CPP program.... they just avoid anything controversial.

Not to mention the great scheduling department with 5-6 hr sits with no hotel and then fly to max duty day. Mesa lives up to all the Mesa suxs rumors

"Amazing, every word you just said....was wrong".

1. There are no sits greater then 4 hours. You see a pairing that was built with a longer sit, prove it.

2. You sit more then 4 hours you get a hotel. Read the contract.

3. Nothing is built to max duty day due to buffers.

I believe he is speaking about in base sits. #2 does not happen in base. Should it?

There are no sits scheduled more then 4 hours in any location. And yes the 4 more then 4 hour rule for hotels is anywhere. (5-B-1).

Is it possible to sit more then 4 hours? Sure turn cancels or something. But that's not scheduled. The statement was we schedule sits in excess of 4 hours. We do not.

Why the long training footprint? Are applicants requiring more time to get up to speed than the standard syllabus calls for creating a backlog, or is it high volume and not enough simulators? It seems that a lot of regionals are taking a long time to get someone through the machine.

This is true, contract clearly states you can get a hotel.

Idk why you guys are up in arms about the long training like someone said before go on a trip or go home and relax just leave your phone on. Hotels are slightly better but still suck. More junior assignments but you can say no if you have something to do just have a backbone. And no 4 hr sits but definitely a handful of 2 and 3 hr sits but not as bad as last year.
