FYI

75 CRJ 200s got the boot and Express jet took over that flying hence massive furloughs at Mesa about 11 years ago

Delta gave freedom the boot about 35 I believe EMB145s and took back their 22 CRJ9s that Mesa was flying out JFK

Check why Mesa went CH11

Easy they (UAL) can repeat that and even easier since they own most 175s that Mesa flies.
Ask the Mesa Management about that and while you are at it ask them about the 325 million settlement in Hawaii.

As has been said, Mesa flying 737’s has been a rumor for the better part of two decades. According to company lore, it might’ve almost come to fruition once upon a time if the union hadn’t been so insulted by the pay rates offered.

Personally I think there’s more validity to the A330 cargo rumor since I’ve seen the photoshopped A330 livery, but that just means more wishful thinking went into it. JO tried to evolve past codeshare in Hawaii, but it’s either not possible or he’s not the man for the job. Maybe both.

TL;DR Just what we need, a bunch of Mesa 737’s flying around. Also, who the hell wants >79 seats/cargo equivalent at a regional?

Just saw a 734 white front/DHL yellow tail at MCI this evening. Kalitta Charters II in the side. If anything were to happen w/ the 734’s, they’d be my guess.

Once upon a time

112/hr for a 12 year captain
Very generous by Mesa management.....sarcastic obviously
When I heard that at ALPA National I was laughing however some of your 12 reps at the time...yes some like 2 I believe who are currently JetBlue captains were ready to go for it and that was pathetic.

Scope may indeed come into play.

Yeah Mesa wants to get into cargo with a large percentage of UAL birds up for renewal, might get slapped down by UAL if they are even renewing our flying.

In other words it’s time to get real serious about a backup plan...

Wait, wasn't that one of the best reasons for going to Mesa, to know for a fact that you'd want to get out ASAP?

For people that live in base, it’s not terrible. I wouldn’t touch Mesa with a 10’ pole if I had to commute though.
