I’m sure DHL with throw you some ratty ass -400’s. You will be operating CVG-Lincoln Nebraska at 2:45am in no time. Welcome to the dirty DHL hub, BTW- stay away from
Jolynns chicken soup.

I find it funny that regional pilots would rather fly newer regional jets than an older Boeing with no passengers.(Nicest part is no passengers) But at the end of the day, it's just an airplane, and only flying backside of the clock is a definite negative.

I have zero interest in flying cargo for anyone.

Cargo is awesome, it’s the night flying in and out of the sort that hurts. Daytime freight is the best job out there. No flight attendant drama, no passengers acting up or having medical issues, just do your time in the seat, go to the hotel, and collect your money.

Not me I would jump on it. Nights not bad as long as you get rest or arrive at intl destination with a badass hotel. I would fly the older boeings all day!

This is Mesa after flying all night you’ll go to a Laquita that’s in the middle of nowhere and the pay will be less than Southern Air. And no travel benefits

Lol. I was in class at southern with the guy that started this rumor. It’s hilarious to see how far and wide it’s traveled.

Honestly, amazon bought 20 738’s and per their 8-K filing earlier this year, their intentions are to have them staffed by SAI pilots (five this year and the option for the rest by 2021). On the flip side, rumor is the 734’s May be leaving due to high mx costs and inefficiencies. However, since they are under ACMI contracts, if they are removed from SAI, they’ll end up under another ACMI carrier like Kalitta Charters II (which already covers a lot of the 734 flying that isn’t being staffed due to SAI pushing pilots to the 800).

No matter how you look at it, a regional will more than likely NOT end up with them due to things like operating costs, training and training facilities, and this thing called scope clause.

Then again, it is 2019 so who knows.

The 734’s are what Mesa is supposedly getting.

Will it be enough revenue to compensate for the shutdown of the passenger operation and follow on lawsuits if it forces the major partners to cancel any flights before they can transfer and staff the airframes?

Mesa air group is a holding company. A new subsidiary could be started as a separate company. At every results call Mesa mentions cargo. I don’t think they are as short sighted as you seem to think.

After the Freedom debacle, Doesn’t our contract prevent the company from operating a seperate carrier?
