Things I often see as character flaws in pilots.

1. someone else’s good deal is my bad deal.
2. if you’re not doing what I’m doing you’re doing it wrong.
3. working for $150k a year as a pilot in command is hogwash! Never mind that they can pick and choose when to work.
4. If you’re the lowest paid airline you’re absolutely ****. On a side note, don’t forget nock foles was once the highest paid qb in the nfl.

I’ve seen 63 year olds in new hire classes at really good airlines. I disagree with your age discrimination claim too.
The only age discrimination I do know exists is with federal jobs and the military.

There are other places you could go and not sit on reserve for hardly any time at all. You'd also get paid a lot more, have more days off, and better benefits. But if you feel that being senior at Mesa is the best option, more power to you.

As much as disagree with you that QOL (regardless of regional) is not as important going to a bigger company. You have been consistent posting the same thing about xjt and skywest. I dont think anyone sets out to stay at a regional but things happen and priorities change. I know guys who do one day turns to be home with family or guys who treat flying like a second income bc they run businesses. Some people literally work the bare minimum to be employed and drop the rest.

Personally, I definitely think there is age discrimination in this industry. Warranted or not it’s there. Why are 23-25 year old FO’s who can barely fly a damn RJ from the right seat yet get hired at a major but guys who are very experienced and are still sharp as a tack struggle to get an interview. idk it’s the Mesa stink, If they’re just terrible interviewers or something in between but I’ve heard from multiple people in HR and hiring boards that prefer a younger pilot since they’re ”future” proof. This is coming from a 22 Y/O FO that came here to get quick PIC and wants to take advantage of the bias.

Fly with them and after a day and a half you figure out why. The racial, sexist, and homophobic statements start flying around. Sorry, but the world has moved on and there’s no place for terrible people like that in a modern professional environment. I don’t care what their reasoning is it’s never ok to use language some of them use. End of story.

I’ve flown with many and only a handful have displayed that behavior. Just because they’re older doesn’t automatically make them racist or act unprofessionally. Age has nothing to do with that as there’s individuals who are middle aged and acted like children.

Of course it’s not all of them. I’m only referring to the ones that behave like that. They also it’s believe it’s because of their age that they can’t get hired elsewhere. When that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Not even close to being true.
I know of Mesa pilots at Omni, ATI, Kalitta, Atlas. Etc.
And I also know of Mesa pilots at American, Delta, United, and FedEx. And Alaska and Hawaiian and jetBlue now that I think of it.
only major I don’t know of is UPS.
you’re statement is like a Trump statement: totally baseless and absent of facts.

Agreed. I personally know dozens of pilots that are at UA and dozens more that were hired through Aviates waiting. I also know plenty at jetblue, spirit, and other LLCs. I know a few at FedEx, AA and Alaska. The only airlines I hear Mesa pilots having problems with getting hired (not FAs) is DL. But the stems from JOs beef with DLs CEO from a few years ago. But a better a analogy is he is mumbling nonsense like Joe Biden’s leftists lies.
