Turn those mostly empty 737 runs between IAH and DFW into mostly full 175s. Wait! What about Sky West, Endeavor and all the rest with their 175s? Forget them! Mesa goes first at the front of the line. They cost United the least, therefore allow the most profit for UA to survive. Mesa first, everyone else shuffle in behind them. We survive! https://media2.giphy.com/media/F0uUtL7lmALCM/source.gif it’s my understanding that under the emergency declaration we are at the Airline can waive scope, but it’s also my understanding that even during 2001 when an emergency state was also declared Majors didn’t exercise that freedom against the union. |

I like that mindset!! Nevertheless, United is in the tough spot of pleasing both the government and their Union... Union will never allow us to fly more than them, just stop by their forum to get a feeling of their sentiment on the topic... they’d rather fly our regional jets themselves.

Why? We perform better AND we cost less. Bottom line, we’re good for business. And in times like these, I’m just happy to have a job (RIP TSA), and even better, to be on the team that’s good for business. I’m not normally a rah rah guy, but cmon, Mesa folk! Let’s keep it together and keep being awesome! |

Granted.. even IF they commit to scope, they still would want to use the Regionals as much as possible. And if they do, Mesa would STILL be the Regional they would saturate first, and then all the rest.

on the Ejet side we only lost like 25% of lines from the original bid. Considering that united reduced their flying by 60% I'd say that is pretty darn good. I wonder if being the cheapest regional in the industry for once served a purpose here...

what will it happen if United takes their frames (175s are paid off and not leased so no payments for them ) and park them at Roswell and comply with their scope Instead of having you flying them empty by using force Majour ? Have you thought about that? your management is very aware what force majour is because they tried to use it at 2007 BTW what about if American uses their scope and reduce 25 percent of more than 64 seats aircraft as per scope with a nice notice after they park 385 narrow bodies ? It’s an ugly world we live in these days |
