Quote: Tell me you’re out of touch with todays job market without telling me you’re out of touch with todays job market
He mentioned Mesa being the place to be after failing other places.

And it's a good thing. I find it dumb how your whole career is held by a string and one person.

Everyone deserves a second chance. Just because you have 1 dui on your record dosnt mean your life/career should be ruined. Or checkride failures. We all make mistakes and learn from it. You aren't the same person you were in high school. Mesa is fantastic for giving people a second chance at thier dream career when everyone else turns a blind eye. Granted the pay is not good, but the company culture where everyone seems like family, the nice coworkers who treat you with uttermost respect, the diverse range of pilots from all walks of life (seriously, I've seen more minority pilots here than anywhere else), and the opportunity they give you to advance your career after you think has ended... Is fantastic to say the least.

Secondly, the company is the Elon musk of the regional industry by trying to revolutionize the regionals. First one to be approved for EFB iPad use, first one to have huge planes (737) in service, first one to get eletric planes, etc. I don't doubt the stability of the company.

So I'd have to give Mesa props to that.....

They do have to fix the pay though 😐

Gee, you just can't believe some people actually like the company they work for, don't you?

Likes a company that treats them like the stinky stuff that was stepped in on a horse farm? No. I can’t. Not unless they are beyond desperate because it’s their “last hope” as it sounds like it is for you. There’s a difference between liking the people we work with and liking the company you work for. If you like Mesa you’ve either never worked somewhere else, believe you never will, or are actually insane…

All regionals have crew schedulers trying to staff and breaking the rules to do it. Hell even delta is facing that. It’s YOUR attitude that makes a difference. Mesa has some work rules that were light years ahead of other airlines. Pay is low. Yep. It is. Don’t like it don’t come or move on. The Money will come because it has to. Crews here are stellar. The people are fantastic. Even if management isn’t.

We’ve got one thing. One. That’s junior available, and they constantly try to bully you in to it.

Currently trying to decide if this is true or if the train already left the station. Every day the evidence points more and more to the latter

99% of the lifers were great. Dallas crews were younger and usually more spontaneous and out going. However lots of those people have moved on. If you’re on the fence then I’d ask if this job market isn’t the best time to jump somewhere then when would be? I jumped ship when an opportunity presented itself and have regretted it exactly zero times.

Pick the crj it will take American a few months to transition all the 79/80 flying to psa then you will be able to fly the clapped out 900s to the desert and park them next to the 175s this will make a great tmaat story for your legacy interview which you will be called for so quickly with the prestige of mesa on your resume.
