The logic is flawed because even if you have to buy a hotel EVERY DAY you still make more money with min credit than you do with a 20 hour VLOA even factoring in hotels and food.

The only thing this buys the company is ill will from the pilots. Nice play.
Red roof $43 a night.
20 nights a month $860.

1year FO after taxes per month. $2200

Yep, but a hell of a lot better quality of life, minus the food cost, no commuting. Boredom in hotel, waiting for shuttle, ...

Just drive a couple of days for Uber, and you'll be likely ahead of the game.

Fortunately, my seniority gets me an easy commutable schedule.

Can y'all score partial unemployment on that deal?

It's voluntary, so most likely not.

You guys see the email about increased flying over the next few months on the AA side? Hopefully it stays true and adds some optimism.

I really wish he hadn’t have said that. Not that we don’t need the optimism but June shows just how fragile that relationship with AA is. I’ll believe it when the awards come out. Maybe we get back on bidding schedule.

still waiting on an actual explanation on the whole June debacle. July will be telling. Given that line holders for July only have like 55-60 hours, if we have a big increase in AA flying, that’s good news for the guys on reserve. I’m currently on a trip that was added to the schedule.

Mesa has proven we can take up the slack and we are flexible. But it begs the question on the long call direction change by the company for July.

maybe in anticipation of added schedules? I don’t believe for a second these things are spur of the moment, as management often claims. There had to be some advance notice.
