Hiring pool. Mesa will need one because no one in their right mind will fly for 32,000 a year. If I knew I wasn’t going to upgrade for 3-4 years at best, I’d become a stripper or uber driver. Fly Cessnas around way better than sitting airport ready for 10 hours a day, eating pb&j. No medical o healthcare benefits you could afford on that budget.

The number of times I’ve gotten to a plane that’s been at the gate for two hours only only to have a mechanic walk into the cockpit 2 mins before boarding starts to tell me to hold boarding because they have to do a follow up inspection that then delays the flight for an hour is unreal.

"the running joke is that pilots at Mesa have to have a DUI record to get hired. That’s not true. The real truth is the mechanics have to blow at least a .15 to be allowed into work each day"
noooo you need to have 120 hours of i o e first!
