not if Mesa cadets are the only ones hireable without an ATP. Now you’re right in that we don’t know that every other regional is going to require an ATP. But if they do.......

Here is another question. Cadet recruiters have explained that due To the cadet contract the new ATP requirement will not apply to cadets. Do you think they will start training after the furloughed class starts then?

you do know that all United Express carriers must give interviews to furloughed United pilots before everyone else right? There are going to be a couple thousand United pilots filling the United express coffers for a while.

Interviews maybe, but I doubt they will hire a single one. Why would they hire someone who would leave the moment they get recalled, when the market is full of qualified guys with no recall rights.

well it sure would be a shame if when United started hiring again we had to turn away Mesa pilots. Don’t make a bed you don’t want to sleep in.

why wouldn’t Mesa hire a furloughed pilot everyone that accepts recall allows Mesa to hire another pilot at first year pay.

It’s interesting that you would be open to punishing a pilot for a management decision. Your true colors showing through there.

The line pilot sure as hell doesn’t. Want to blacklist those that work in the hiring process? Fine. Want to blacklist every Mesa Line pilot? That’s a bit different. Not sure if you knew this or not but we actually don’t have daily union votes on new hire candidates.

how does your hiring process work then? Is not a board?
