Scope caps the number of 70 and 76 seat aircraft, defines weight limits of 50/70/76 seat aircraft, and limits block hours, but there is no mention of type. Since scope is maxed out for 70/76 seaters, United could bring on 900’s providing they got rid of 175’s with the same seating capacity, but United likes the 175. They are also significantly shrinking UAX and probably wouldn’t be interested in adding complexity to the fleet mix.

Does anyone know the current footprint for the CRJ training? If you have an end of November start date, how long will it take until you are actually flying? Also, is it unusual to get hired without an interview for an FO position?

Think of it this way… 900s are being leased to air whiskey for AA ops (mesa gets some income as we own them). PHX is going to be a displaced bid for UA side (envoy moving in with 175s just announced) and DFW is going to be a displaced bid. Mesa is going to be all United moving our CRJ pilots into the ejet and pick up our planes (the LL’s) that are parked in the desert as the CRJ pilots transfer to the ejet. This will stop commutair from rebranding and get the 175 desert parked planes flying faster. Chicago will open up as a base (kansas city as mx base for mesa) thanks to the go jet issues they’re having.
All comes down to this why would United help pay mesa pilot wages for pilots to fly for a competitor (AA CRJ mesa pilots) United has no benefit from that regardless of the aviate flow!
I’m taking facts and building a picture…
