PSA is getting 79 seaters and envoy is opening a PHX base, but yeah, I’m sure the future of Mesa AA flying is just fine.

Oh, and half the CRJ fleet is already parked.

Interesting because the scope agreement said as the 79 seaters get new interiors they will be converted to 76 - and this has happened at Mesa. Yes CRJs are parked. We own 62. Only 40 are on a cpa with American. That contract has 3 more years but AA can pull 20 for performance which mesa surely has not met.

No. We started Jan and we finish at the end of this month. They already have March class scheduled for sim. (And beyond) There's no 11 month footprint for E-Jet.

The seat change is interesting. Looks like they could also put 80 seats in the 175s. This is a “reinterpretation” of their scope clause. It might actually encourage them to do this on the mesa side and fly more.

I wouldn’t count on APA allowing a scope violation and concession right now.

I am curious to see their response to this development.

The chief doesn’t think it’s a cause for concern. Only time will tell!

I wasn’t really concerned until he sent an email telling us not to be concerned…now I’m concerned!

Theres really nothing we can do. So the worry card should go back in your pocket. That’s said all my sources say there’s gonna be change but it is good change and not bad change.

I use concerned lightly..as it’s not like there aren’t other options if they close phx..like Frontier coming in for example if you don’t care about the majors..

What do you hear? They are finally retiring the dilapidated crjs and buying us all new Ejets?! 😃 (sarcasm)
