Republic Mesa merger

…at contracted rates Mesa couldn’t make money on.
There’s no cost efficiencies through streamlining being realized here. Republic is effectively buying Mesa and supplanting Mesa operations with Republic operations at all levels.
UAL invests heavily in both. My guess is UAL got tired of floating Mesa financially and told Mesa and Republic to “figure it out”.
Republic will probably fly Mesa’s contracts to termination and get a chance to rebid on them when they come due.

This week we witnessed the end of Air Wisconsin and Mesa.
Once go jet and commut air gets absorbed by someone and I think it will happen, the regionals will be all but gone , save the wholly owned , RAH and big SkyWest .That will be all that’s left .
Times are changing.

you bring several hundred more fees for departures daily. Lots of cost centers will be eliminated and consolidated to the virtually brand new Republic Airlines Headquarters, Operations & Training facility that is still being built up. RAH owns the entire block adjacent to the highway. Currently houses the three story training center with 10 sim bays, 9 Flat panel FTD's, countless classrooms, cabin, door and emergency trainers, a skybridge connected hotel, a new parking garage, and the brand new attached HQ SOC is getting closer to finished everyday. They'll still have 2/3rds of the land for planned future expansion.
I think most folks are surprised when they see the company facilities. They're more what you'd see at a legacy carrier.

Well this one happened during the hysteria created by the Left and Mainstream media, so I guess you are wrong? Are your legs sore from standing outside all day yesterday in a meaningless protest nobody but yourselves cared about?
