And ExpressJet pilots are still above Mesa in work rules, as well as total pay and compensation. And I should also state that ExpressJet pay is still low.

Are you serious??? You get a sub-standard contract that MAG Pilots should have had back in the ninties and you call that an improvement. An improvement would have been an above average contract which aligns itself with other airlines in the industry.. PNCL guys don't settle for a sub-standard passover from management. Get what you have lost over the years, hold your ground. Kudo's to all the MAG pilots that voted "NO".

Congrats on your pay raise at the cost of several hundred jobs at Aloha, Hawaiian, etc. Who would you like to add to your list next... as a pilot at MAG the "blood" is on your hands, don't point to your management.

So dramatic.
Yes, it was a group off pilots that obtained proxy info for both island carriers and then used it a year later to open "Go".

It was the pilots that a judge had questions about the so-called information being deleted from company computers

It was the pilots that went against all information given by the union on how to deal with this situation.

Please.

No don't look at management or the union, they're innocent.

Today, it is my understanding that the XJT has more furloughed pilots than Mesa. How about dividing payroll by total pilots, furloughed and not-furloughed, and then see what the pro rata pay is?

Some airlines have better pay and work rules than Mesa, some have worse.

I call it an "improvement" when the current contract is better than the last one. Before I came to Mesa, I have heard that the 2003 contract did include work rule concessions in exchange for the elimination of the non-union alter-ego carrier. This represents a sacrifice and strategic victory that benefited many pilot groups in the long run.

I wish the Pinnacle pilots the very best in their negotiations. If they win big raises and big increases in time off, I will be surprised.

How do you feel about RAH pilots that fly former Midwest Airlines routes? Which pilots do you blame for the collapse of Independence Air?

Yeah, our contract sucks. What of it? It's still miles away from the working conditions at GLA and GIA (Go Teamsters!) and our work rules are better than Colgan or CommutAir but I am confident that their negotiations will produce a contract that I would envy. Don't get me started by PenAir but maybe they're different because their in Alaska but I have a buddy who got hired there and he tells me horror stories.

In any event, what do you do to make our profession a better place besides showing up to work at what you think is such a beacon of light job that you probably got based on luck? Me, I volunteer. I want to ensure our next CBA makes yours look like crap even if we have to negotiate until rapture, but we'll still have 6 years of an Obama admin by the time we get started. Instead of dumping crap on us how about wishing us luck?

I didn't vote for this contract but all we can do is move forward FROM HERE.
