The number I keep hearing from everyone is 900.. if you have a global above 900 then expect to get axed. Frankly, I'm at the point I don't care anymore and when/if I do get furloughed I think I'll go back to my old career and start making 100k/yr again.. this crap isn't worth it anymore. Don't get me wrong, love flying more than anything, but at what cost? At least I'll be able to afford renting a plane and flying just for fun with my friends again...

Wow I cant believe our thread has lasted 4 pages! I think everyone realizes how depressing and miserable this whole industry is, and how it really will effect US while the crooks running it fly away into the sunset with their golden parachutes.
In the end, whether we work for Mesa or Skywest, we're all peons getting crapped on for the benefit of others.
I just wish pilots would be nice to each other. I catch enough crap from management and my bill collectors. It would be nice just to have a civil discussion with someone else who enjoys flying like I do. I think we often forget that in some way or another, we are related to each other (so to speak), and we need to support each other regardless of what company we chose to work for because in the end all we are going to have is each other.
I think now, I'm getting over my anger phase I went through when Mesa (and my job) started going down hill. I think now I just feel defeated and tired. I've done all I can, and I've still lost.

Amen brother! Where are you based? This whole things stinks... I honestly had no idea there was so much poison in this biz before I got here... I'm really shocked that there's so many pilots hating on each other.. It also amazes me how many out there can't wait to see our company completely go away without regard to what happens with our pilot base. Our management sucks, we all know and agree on this, but as a pilot group, I think we have a lot of good people and pilots here.. I really hope the hating stops and we try to work together. Otherwise, I don't see how anything changes. Anyway, best of luck to all of us and this so-called profession... I still hope and pray better days(much better ones) are ahead of us...

you have got to be kidding me, GOVT Programs! Where is the bail out for the Airlines? Why wasn't UAW slapped when the president of UAW said they wouldn't take any pay cuts? The airlines have been hosed big time and we have got to stick together. Otherwise there will be a whole lot of Branif's, Eastern's Pan AMs Western's and the list will keep growing!

Finally found the total projected number of furloughs at Mesa. Looks like 329 total with 5 coming in Oct. 24 in Dec. 117 in Jan. and 12 more in April. Hopefully things change for the better before this all happens.
