Default CLT future

Is a closure or reduction the most likely outcome? If I were looking for a east coast operation I'd avoid Mesa right now until the dust settles.

There's always Dulles

It doesn't seem like we're having a difficult time staffing the new lift, but if we were then moving the flying out west would bring in another slew of applicants. There's always plenty of pilots looking to get out west.

CLT looks to downsize, but not go away.

Training at Mesa is top notch. The instructors want you to succeed, know what material is important and are there to help you.

Last I heard new hires were still staying at the sleep inn in single occupancy rooms.

This is for CRJ training in PHX.

I'm not sure about how Mesa is doing EJET training but I imagine since it's done by the same company, (flight safety STL) it has to be similar to my experience at RAH.

Training for that was about the same (two months) time frame. I wouldn't rave about the flight safety instructors too much, seemed like they were just in a hurry to cover the material and get home. You pretty much were expected to look up and figure out any questions you had on your own.

Again that was three years ago so things may have changed but definitely was very impressed by mesa's own instructors in how they teached the CRJ vs flight safety's instructors for the EJET.

Maybe Skillett can give a better run down of today's EJET training....
I thought Flightsafety's training program was top notch. I was told alot of changes have occured the last year geared toward the E-Jet program. I will elaborate more later when I have time.

So if you get sim training in PHX, it's with Mesa's people, but if you get shipped out to STL or Copenhagen, it's with flight safety?

I know Mesa gets bashed around here at least, but I've heard their training is really good, right?

I think CPH has Mesa instructors...although they don't sound too happy about being out there. I'm not sure if STL is FlightSafety is in-house or company instructors, or both...

FlightSafety STL systems and sims are taught by their own instructors.
