The 175 is less aerodynamically clean, so one would assume you could descend at idle faster than the crj.

So with that logic can you chop and drop a 777?

How about the weird flight director? I imagine that takes some getting used to?

It's all about the drag created versus weight. 777 is probably pretty slippery because of the weight momentum. Although those engines are huge. Looking at the CRJ, reminds me of a lawn dart. The E-Jet is thicker, with a MTOW of only 3000lbs more. One would assume the E-Jet would slow faster than the CRJ, but it's not the case.

After the first day you get use to the FPV. The Path Vector is pretty awesome. It's shows the flight path relative to the horizon. On an ILS the aircraft is pitching 5* up. But the path vector shows a 3* flight path down the glide slope. You find yourself scanning the FPV more than scanning the actual pitch of the aircraft.

Anyone happen to have some recent info on the interview process at Mesa? I have heard phone interviews, but I was not sure what was all involved with that. Also, if I were interested in applying would you recommend applying through airline apps or directly on mesas website? Because I see there are both options. Thanks!

If you click on the link on the Mesa website, it takes you to airlineapps, so that is the only way to apply.

Ok thanks! Do you happen to know if you are able to start airlineapps but not submit it? I'm assuming you would be able to. I just wanted to start putting all my times and everything into it but not apply quite yet.
