Actually I'm a FO at TSA, so obviously you need to get your facts straight before you start posting stuff. There are other airlines that have better work rules and pay than Mesa. For example compass or TSA.

Boy, isn't that ironic that you make a comment like that?

Better work rules and pay than Mesa? Well, considering I'm staring at a 12 month upgrade, please explain to me which regional beats $52/hour second year pay?

Do your research on what's happening here before you start running your mouth.

I'd sure rather be here than at a place with a fleet of obsolete 50 seaters. But, go ahead and argue that, I guess we've learned over the last 10 years that 50 seaters are really valuable huh?

Is this your first regional? Do you have the 1000 121 SIC? 1000 135 PIC?

No offense, I think all regionals beat your second year.

I get that, and wasn't looking for sympathy from APC readers. Merely stating a fact that many others may be quietly pondering while they work for a DCI carrier.

Counting an upgrade before it has hatched is a quick way to disappointment.

Heed these wise words. I went to a 6mo upgrade regional and it didn't pan out. The explosive growth and new flying didn't end up happening. Base every employment decision on facts. AC orders are not facts until they are sitting at the gate in your airline's colors. It'll save a lot of disappointment in the future.

12 month upgrade? Yeah like when I got hired at RAH in 2007 it was a 13 month upgrade. Flash forward 6 years later... right around the corner. Do you recall how long Mesa managed to keep those DL owned CRJ-900's operated by Freedom? Maybe a year at the most before Delta moved them to another DCI carrier. Just because Mesa has 175's coming owned by UAL, there is a ton of risk in that type of business.

I hope it all works out well for my humble friends at Mesa that have gone through seriously tough times. For you... I just pray you shut up and learn a bit from those guys over the next 12 months before you upgrade.
