The ones I really didn't care for were SDF because of the long hike to the lobby, and those horrid Sleep Number beds in HSV. BHM was in a crappy area but the hotel itself was fine. And then of course PHX.
Have you ever worked for another regional/airline? Do you understand where most other regionals stay in our overnight cities?

Some of Mesa's hotels suck? Understatement of the year. My decision to leave Mesa has been the best one of my life and the hotel situation is only the start of it. Good luck to all of you still at Mesa...it baffles me why some of you insist on staying there. Oh wait, no it doesn't. You all think that with an upgrade you will get chased down the street by a major the second you hit 1,000 hours PIC.

Best of luck with that. Just remember, swapping seats with the FO and letting him/her land from the left seat will probably not do wonders for your career. Especially when an aircraft spotter just happens to take a picture the moment she hits the wingtip on the runway.

He forgot the end with a positive comment. Something positive "Good luck to all" something negative, "why do you insist on staying". In other words look how smart I am. This guys the man, but what about ending on a positive note.

Any other fallacies you wish to share?

I've seen the FOQA data - she was flying from her seat.

At least talk $hit abouts truths - ****ty pay, etc. Making stuff up just hurts your legitimacy.

Yeah you and I had that discussion on FB; I'm not sure everyone will agree with you on the constant noise from UPS arrivals/departures all night long being "better". I generally sleep with earplugs anyway, but not everyone is down with that.

The difference isn't as great as you might imagine but it's noticeable. Most are a bit better (usually a one-tier bump within the same chain), a few are as bad as the worst ones in the YV system (*cough*PHX*cough*), some are the exact same hotel.

I think the biggest difference is that the pilot group here has a greater say when it comes to contracting hotels; specifically, hotels must be mutually agreed upon between the company and the pilot and inflight groups.

I'm ex-Mesa, I work for another airline now.

Nice try...but care to explain to the class how FOQA determines what butt was in what seat? It can't. But the CVR can...it's called CAM 1 and CAM 2. She was in the left seat and last I had heard was both got their certificates yanked by the FAA. This after the only thing Mesa was going to do was slap their wrists and give them a couple days worth of vacation.

But all the other things you said were true. Mesa has $hit pay, $hit QOL, $hit maintenance, and bottom of the barrel everything.

Talk about "rationalization". You guys hit the nail on the head with that one. Except it is some of you current Mesa guys who are "rationalizing" why you insist on staying with such a horrible company.

He's just jealous that she'll be at a legacy long before he will. By the end of this year is not outside the realm of possibilities for her, skidmarks notwithstanding. Just the way it goes in this biz.
