Did any DFW based folks notice the 4 700's sitting in the SW pad where general aviation used to be? They all had an N number that ended in QX.

Those are probably the Expressjet 700s, formerly in DL colors.

Mesa's birds end with MJ or LR (save for the E-jets)

e.g
N501MJ
N522LR etc

SkyWest also announced today that ExpressJet and American Airlines have agreed to place 12 dual-class CRJ700s into service under a multi-year term. These CRJ700s had been scheduled to be removed from service under a previously-disclosed early lease return arrangement.

More than likely it would just delay everything a year and we'd still have the same people running it.

Is Mesa Airlines basically another ExpressJet?

in regards to the ERJs owned by United, the original 30 and the latest 12...yes.

ExpressJet(UA) owned nothing, not a single plane. So Mesa is a little better off then they are.

Not sure what state you live in, but that's not Mesa's fault you are taxed at 25% & 15%. Thems are the laws my friend. You should see the taxes that come out of a $30,000 bonus!! (No worries, you'll never have that p]roblem at Mesa)

So, let's see with some back of the napkin calculations: three months, makes it $60 each. I have been averaging 19 work days per month, so that makes the daily bonus payment $3.16 per duty day. I think I'll upgrade to a double cheeseburger at Waffle House in Tucson tonight.

It's a great suggestion indeed. Maybe it has already been written

It is not a complaint. After 43 years as a working adult, I am well aware more than most here how earned and unearned income is taxed.

My point is, when you think about it, the $300 carrot to keep us around through the holidays is rather laughable. That's just another great perk of working here .. like seeing new hires walking in the door, and essentially making $44,280 first year if they complete IOE .. thereby making 49% more than a second year FO makes.

No alternative facts here!
