Now that this has been confirmed by MagPBS, what does it mean?

Do we have enough Captains to cover it with Captain on Captain flying? Is this the start of cancellations? Junior Available?

How will it be possible to bring on more airplanes staring in May?

Don't worry my fellow Mesaite! We have a excellent group of guys in training now that will look nice in those 900's. Help is on the way. We will be just fine.

You know the "No Stay, We Pay"? Guys coming to Mesa know that FA's are given monetary incentives to share rooms with pilots. These guys aren't stupid...

How is March playing out, there's your answer. April is gonna be like March. Lot of CA flying right seat. Lot of incentive flying. Other then that, the train keeps chugging down the track.

Kinda makes you wonder .
No it doesn't. They're mgmt. That is all. They are not career progress oriented. And at the top of the food chain for now.

I think it might be a little different. Every base but Dallas has reduced flying. It wouldn't surprise me to find out Dulles was reduced so that we can send even more captains over there to help out. Will that outpace the attrition, not sure....

Everyone should notice some of the statements in the email form Foley. Two major points stand out.

1. About being committed to "job security for you and your families within the structure of our long term agreements."

What is being said here is, we have long term agreements with very small profit margins and that giving you all what you want in terms of money would put Mesa and your "families" in a bind. This is about as blatant as it gets.

2. Mentioning the quick upgrades and the hire date of the last captain upgrades.

This point is all about don't worry about the small amounts of money at the FO level, focus on getting the upgrade to make the money.

These two points are clear to me about what to expect tomorrow, NOTHING! We are not getting anywhere close to the money you obviously deserve. They have to sell (read scare) you into accepting poor pay scales in the new contract.

Mesa is NOT going to pay you industry average or anywhere near it. They are prepping their argument for the ****show that is to come tomorrow.
