Navy Enlisted to Army Warrant Officer Flying
I am an O-5 Naval Aviator, and one of my troops is an outstanding E-6 who is applying for the Army Warrant Officer flying program in January. I am looking for someone who may have gone this route and would be willing to share information to make his package as competitive as possible. Thanks in advance!

In my Warrant Officer Candidate class (2009) I had a Navy special operations E6 Sailor, who became a helicopter pilot. It certainly can be done. The best advice I can recommend is find a Warrant Officer Accessions NCO who can work with a regular recruiter to assemble the packet. A regular recruiter can navigate the paperwork for bringing him over from the Navy; however, you want a Warrant Officer Accessions NCO to assist with the packet.
The whole point of the Warrant officer accessions person is to strictly put packets together, help navigate the system and help fill the Army's need for qualified Warrants.
Good luck to him/her

Thanks Salty! I'm prior enlisted also, and none of us made it all on our own. Just lending a hand and paying it forward. I love it when we see our Sailors move up. Maybe I'll have a little good karma on my side when I retire next year and am trying to break into the 121 game....
