Included? I hear the entire class, the first one they could fill is going to be in January and it is all AARP card holders. The training guys are having to come up with RedMan vs walker scenarios.

Its internal meaning you have to be a AMO pilot already. They are opening open some P3 slots. Our DAO told everybody at shift brief that we need to manage our expectations and that we cannot afford to let alot of people go because we are so shorthanded in the MQ9 program and that essentially maybe one pilot per year will be allowed to transfer out when we back fill them.

I'm personally waiting for my offer letter this week or next from a corporate 135 outfit and then I will be resigning and getting out of living in a border town finally.

Agreed. I'd get out of flying professionally before I make my family endure that 7 (5 for them) year stint ever again. Life's too short to waste away somewhere you don't enjoy. There's other ways to fly for a living if need be.

If they'd change up the new hire practices, they'd attract better candidates. Former AD mil/current reservist, contractor KA350 ISR pilot with TS. I frequently cruise by a the nice little CBP down here in Jacksonville, FL that I'd be willing to hop into, but no go, border towns are not even an option for me. Turned down a Pred offer a couple years ago and about every 6 months I hit up the recruiter just to see if things have changed, and always shot back a canned email reply about TX/AZ/PR/etc, so I'll just keep living the dream elsewhere.

It's not worth it. My family lasted a year and then moved back home while I remained in place to work. Traveling home every 2 months for 5 days isn't ideal. I just got my offer with ground school and sim date. I'm gone in a few weeks

I haven't seen an opening for Manassas inawhile. One of the guys in my office is trying to get there because his wife and kid live in VA and he travels back every month to see them. He took the job knowing he would have to be on the SW Border for the first 3yrs, even that doesn't guarantee he will get Manassas.
