Default Wings and Story Rights

My philosophy - if you earned them, wear them proudly. If you did it, you have the right to tell fairy tales, lies and war stories. Do I question a regional forum member who states curent position is F-22 and has flown the F-18 and F-16 ? (strange combination)

I think we are dealing with someone with flight simulator software.

Proud of my wings and fellow military pilots and aviators.

If he really did, I appologize.

Saying you earned your wings in the military when you didn't is the same as saying your a combat vet when your not. You can't get much lower than that in my opinion. It should be easy enough to ask him some questions to get the truth. The simulators don't deal with many aspects of the planes and NONE of the military procedures.

A navy guy could have flown the 16 as OPFOR, but not the 22.

A senior AF guy could have THEORETICALLY flown all three...

- Career Vipers
- Navy exchange tour
- F-22's.

But the odds are REALLY pretty slim...I'd throw the flag too. Ask him when/how he did his hornet time?

Ask him to finish this sentence:

Fast, Neat, Average,....

Or maybe ask him if he knows Mary Ann Burns?

Probably have to come up with something better than that. I'm not a military flyer and I know the response to that...

(Not to mention a quick search of the web will probably come up with the answer).

Odds are slim that he flies the 22 in the guard..there's only a handful so far.

Current Position:
F-22 Airplanes Flown:
F-18F/F-16

This is in his profile . Don't want to start a personal war . Some folks go to great lengths to "hide" their identity.

What's the screen name? Fact is, the VANG is flying the F-22, most of the guys in that unit are either trained or currently in training, and they come from lots of different backgrounds. It wouldn't surprise me if he's telling the truth.
