Modern combat systems can track and engage multiple targets simultaneously, I'm assuming the shooter launched all three in rapid succession. That's assuming FOX 2 /3, if he rolled in and gunned them, that would be hard to explain 
But I heard on some podcast that there was video of a rear aspect missile hit.
The eagle drivers might have let their guard down once out of indian country, and not reacted strongly to RWR from a friendly platform... although that's starting to seem like a big ASSumption these days.
