Any who, so you're AFOQT. I, of course, took it years ago. Just called my nephew and asked his deal. He's an air whiskey guy and just got a slot with an ANG unit. He's a 22 year old RJ scumbag like you, so PM me if you want his info(he said he'd be glad to talk to you). He said he bought a AFOQT book at Barnes and Noble and he got 97 pilot. He said he studied for 2 months, mostly while he flew on long legs and focused on sections that were involved with AFOQT pilot composite score. Below is a link to the book he has.

"Air Reserve Technician" - The guys that work full-time at the Squadron.
He's referring to a recent event where the Fresno Unit got slapped pretty hard in the various NorCal newspapers a few years ago for double-dipping on pay, Commanders fired.

Probably a sore spot you don't want to bring up in an interview

Oh I agree. Seemed like a witch hunt from the beginning. Meanwhile everyone in the state legislature gets a free car and claims per diem in their home of record

Nice! Yeah I read the article definitely something not to bring up. Glad they all got cleared. Better to walk away close call and lesson learned from a situation than to have extensive suffering for all parties involved.

Just messin with you, bud. I had viper buddies from Hill who went to SKYW. That's a good company. Be happy you're there rather than Gojet or mesa.

This is a shot in the dark, but I saw this post and thought I'd ask the question... Is it possible for a Navy Turboprop pilot to get hired at an ANG F16 unit? 2500 hours TT. Just looking to fly something different part time when I bail from the Navy at the end of this year. If so, is the best way just to get to know someone in the unit? I'm 34 so UPT spot would be out of the question but I assume I could go into some sort of abbreviated program with my experience. Thanks for any info. I thought this was somewhat along the lines of the original post.
