If you do your 20, you won't get a pension check until it is paid off if you didn't manage to pay it back while you were on active duty.
Ficone, are you looking at orders? Thinking about going back in?

Good Luck All,

Toto
Yeah trying to get on some ADSW orders - not holding my breath but we'll see what happens. From what I've heard, you can be on ADSW orders as long as they're no longer than 180 days at a time and not have to pay the VSP back up front. However like you said, once you start collecting retirement, they'll take a portion of that until you're paid up.

Good luck!

Ficone,

If what you are looking at falls through, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. We are looking for more people where I am at. Can't PM yet but here is my email. [email protected]

Saw that one coming....
I'm curious how you got this survey and how it was distributed. I'm a VSPer and would very much like to take it, but they never sent it to me. BTW it would take MUCH more than 50K for 3 years to bring me back. A gaurantee of no more than one deployment every other year would have to be involved as well.

Box office-

It showed up in my AFRC/Reserve email I think- if you didn't go straight to a Reserve unit or maybe also into a flying slot, Rand may not have searched you out.

It was the first survey I ever took w/ a smile on my face and a few "hey guys, come check this out" exclamations....
