Default ACP '09 for Title 10 Guard Guys

Any Air Guard guys know how quickly ACP pays out once you put in your paperwork? I'm on a 1 year title 10 MPA tour (1 Oct 08- 30 Sep 09) and just put it in a week ago. Me and one other guy in my unit are the only ones eligible, and neither have done this before.

At the risk of sounding uneducated, what is an ACP? Don't tell me it's a bounus, they don't have that in the reserves for pilots.

Is the QOL you enjoy now worth $25K a year? If not, you know where to sign up.

Guard guys can get the bonus - they just have to be on active duty orders for at least a year from the date they are eligible. Happens quite frequently for activations, MPA tours and AGR (Active Guard and Reserve) jobs. I don't know how quickly it pays out though, but make sure you stay on your MPF and finance people. I had a buddy who had his bonus payment delayed for almost 6 months only to find out all MPF needed was a copy of his initial flight orders...

Sounds like our Finance office. They recently sat on paying out one of my buddies one of his TDYs for over a month because he forgot to put on his paperwork which squadron he was in......kind of silly when we're the ONLY flying squadron on base!

Hey MJB, quit trying to scam the system and start working for your money! Stop bashing those hard working finance folks, they have to close at 1500 everyday becuase they work sooooo hard processing your one order per year. Life is good down here in FL but I do have to work a little harder for my money...we're slowly scamming alert lines down here so I too can sit on my a$$ and make money like you, too bad we can't steal your Airbridge stuff...my piece of govt. cheese ain't quite as big as it once was but it's more than enough to keep me from going hungry. These long weekend TDY's taking flight nurses to the Virgin Islands help pay the bills. QOL and leadership down here is fantastic, enjoy the snow! DR

Well Holy $h!t private pyle!!! Never knew that was you Dean! By the way, over 14 votes for TC for the Cudihee this year, and apparently it was laughed at by the chosen ones. Nothing's changed.
