How do I become a pilot?
#91
Good advice, like what runge, USMCFLYR and many others have given me. I apologize if I don't appreciate the cheap jabs and the "you should NOT join (even though I'm going to conveniently forget to tell you why)". The majority of advice has been great, and I appreciate it. I was under the impression it was quite clear what I was looking for here.
First bold statement broken down: "Sorry that I don't like the fact that you are a-holes."
Second: "I thought I was clear about the information you were supposed to give me." Have you really recieved any advice you weren't looking for? If you have, keep in mind that the advice that those who have gone before you have given (and have taken their time to do so) to you and every other wannabe is reality.
If you are looking for someone to blow sunshine up your a** go to a different website focused on happy things where mediocrity equals success (ref your earlier posts: "I'm not that fit, but I'm kind of fit. I don't want to get shot at, but I want to defend my country. I don't want to be a pilot for a career, but I want to be a fighter pilot. etc..."
It's funny how kids with attitudes like this who know it all hide behind an anonymous internet name/avatar and talk to those who are very senior to them with sarcasm and disrespect. Bring this attitude with you to the first guard unit you try to rush and you should be Ice Man in no time.

That's kind of the catch to joining the service. Nothing is really free. Sure, I get to fly some of the most awesome gear this great country has to offer, but at the same time I'll be putting up with this crap day and night.

So I'm now going to go walk up to your mother and say vile things about her. But that's just my opinion. So that makes it totally OK.
No I did not. I just don't want to be shot at. That doesn't mean being shot at is a deciding factor in what I'll do or if I'll join or not. I just don't want to be shot at. Just like I don't want to do the dishes. That doesn't mean I'm now not going to eat dinner.
You have stated that being shot at is a major concern for you. Based on this I advised you not to join. Take it or leave it.
