Although not on the list of aircraft considered, the Alpha Jet is just stunning. Having flown the Alpha, T-45 (2 times), T-38, L-39, TA-4J (3 times), the Alpha jet is my favorite.
I hope that T-50 flies as good as it looks.

You're talking about that South Korean trainer right? The Golden Eagle?

What was it about the Alpha you liked so much?

The power was good... 3200 lbs of thrust on each engine, and a takeoff weight under 10,000 lbs.
Short field capability: those wheels and brakes can really stop it quick.
Rear cockpit vis is real good (like the T-45).
It talks to you with a very predictable buffet when the AOA is up.
Good throttle response for formation,... like the T-38, unlike the L-39.
Simple yet functional analog displays and a good cockpit layout.
Hard points and external fuel capability.
Top notch ejection seat.
The biggest negative is it seems if you are tall/long legged, your legs wouldn't be too happy. I'm 5'10", and I wanted the rudders further forward just a touch.

Yes, the Golden Eagle.
