They've had helmet mounted cuing since I believe the 80's. I've still never flown with it.

I agree. Seems like a trend to develop the runner up in one of our 2-design competitions. Ever seen the pictures of the YA-9 that was in competition with the A-10 design? Pretty close to a SU-25 Frogfoot.

And it remains a conundrum for me: What do you call more than one Su-25? Frogfeet? Frogfoots?

I know, you'll say "Targets." (Although some of our allies fly them).

The russians shave always had good mathematicians. They came up with the theory which led to Have Blue and the F-117. IIRC different theory was developed for subsequent "rounded" stealth aircraft.

As someone mentioned, the soviets didn't know what they had at the time.

The soviets russians also had more money and infrastructure to actually build things, the CIS russians not so much...

Thumbs up Good skunkwork

The Soviets unwittingly supplied us with titanium for the SR-71. The CIA bought it through a dummy corporation.

Really? If I remember correctly, you fly hornets? I thought you guys have had them for a while now, or is that just the super hornet? Anyway, it's like crack...although it sucks at 9 Gs!

Yup. Flown every model but the Growler. Never worn the thing. I've heard it's awesome, but really what fun is BFM unless you're rear quarter heat and guns only? CAS in theater, I was extremely jealous of the guys that did have it. Even the window lickers.

Easy, throw on some cuffs. Gotta learn how to employ the gun!
