If the FW board has stated they're looking for WOJ's this year - don't miss that opportunity!! Talk to anyone you can find who's been through the course recently, and find out what set their packet apart.

If the Army isn't hooking you up after a couple years, opportunities exist in other services. Rock your first couple tours and you can look into Coast Guard DCA, or Guard units, or even... the Air Force. A former W2 from my Guard unit has been flying vipers on the other side of the airport for 10 years.

Good luck.

??? for the peanut gallery - does Flatiron still have C-12s?

The Mighty Sherpa is slow, ugly, and unpressurized but she is still a Part 25 transport aircraft. The Guard detatchments that fly her are small and autonomous. The mission ranges from passengers to freight including para dropping for SEALS and SF. I have flown across the Atlantic and all over the Caribbean.

In Iraq you never knew what or who you would be flying . My unit was the first to fly the airplane with NVG's in combat. We flew up to 6 legs somes days so, you really got a feel for the aircraft, and we flew so low that we even rattled some 58 drivers!

I really liked the C12 also but I only flew it at the school house. The C23 will always be special to me because it opened the door to the 747.
