Default USAA vs GEICO AUTO

Has anyone switched from USAA to Geico for their auto insurance?

Geico is quite a bit lower.

I've heard horror stories about GEICO's claim resolution. I'd be interested to hear if you still get satisfaction on a claim from them. (not a flame...a serious question)

I’ve used Geico for multiple cars for over 20 years. I had 4 claims; two auto burglaries, one fallen crushing tree event and a meteor strike. I never had a problem getting repairs done quickly and properly. However Geico is part of Travelers Insurance which I had and unpleasant encounter with regarding a homeowners claim and dumped them.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't drive much, 12 miles from the airports I fly out of, cars just sit.
Gonna give Geico a try.

USAA kinda ****ed me off when they wouldn't come close to the mortgage rate for my house.

I've heard you could save 15% or more by switching to Geico. Of course, everybody knows that. Switching is so easy even a caveman could do it.

Yea, I was wondering if there is an extra rider for meteor damage? And how many meteor strikes can you have before they raise your rates?

I have USAA now and got a Geico quote a few months ago. Geico was cheaper by a few hundred $ total for multiple cars.
