Default *New Guard Hiring Opportunity!!!

The 137th ARW at Will Rogers ANGB, Oklahoma City is getting a new mission. Right now the plan is to get RC-26s with a potential to get MC-12s. Either way we are looking for pilot and system operator experts to start things up and teach at the new schoolhouse being set up. Send me a message if you are interested. There are AGR slots available. You will have to come interview and meet the group just like everybody else.

If you have questions, shoot me a message and I'll get you in contact with a POC.

RC-26s? AFSOC is pretty much planning on the OANG getting MC-12s and helping out with ISR and AvFID missions. Lots of potential for growth (as long as the money holds up) but the RC-26s is a new wrinkle.

You looking for previous MC-12 Mission Commanders, or IPs?

I think this is a different Unit. KOKC not KTIK (Okies).

Ah, well they are an ARW right? I thought I saw some tankers at OKC at one point, but it's been awhile.

I think the flying mission was moved to Tinker. They used to be an ARW then C-130 and I don't think they have a flying mission at the moment. Could be wrong, but was just there a few months ago...no airplanes and a C-130 at the front gate.

"In its 2005 BRAC Recommendations, DoD recommended to realign the then-Will Rogers AGS by relocating the 137th Airlift Wing (ANG) to Tinker AFB and associate with the 507th Air Refueling Wing (AFRC) and redesignated as the 137th Air Refueling Wing (ANG). The 137th's C-130H aircraft would be distributed to the Texas Air National Guard's 136th Airlift Wing at NAS JRB Fort Worth, TX (4 aircraft), and the Missouri Air National Guard's 139th Airlift Wing at Rosecrans Memorial Airport/Rosecrans Air National Guard Base, MO (4 aircraft). The other elements of the 137th's Expeditionary Combat Support Group would remain in place at Will Rogers Air National Guard Base.

Since October 2008, the 185th Air Refueling Squadron aircrews jointly operate the KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft at Tinker AFB with the aircrews of the Air Force Reserve 465th Air Refueling Squadron."

Gotcha. Dealt with the Okies all the time in my last job, I always assumed they were the same unit.

Flyers, maintainers, and ground support are at Tinker - but the 137th are the 'Sooners', not the 'Okies' I believe. All others support are still at Will Rogers. Sounds like the unit wants to get out of the tanking business and away from the 507th and is actively pursuing the MC-12 mission. This last comment was from the opinion of someone in the know
