I read the article about the pilot and the aneurysm behind his left knee. I flew Marine Corps F-4s, last two years as an aggressor pilot considerable acm sorties. I'm flat on my back recovering from a severe popliteal bypass. My left leg is still questionable. My Primary care Doc swore the pulsating lump behind my left knee was a cyst. When I wasn't watching he reached behind me and tried to pop the so called cyst. Never experienced pain like that in my life about three days. He then said I need an MRI, he then realized his mistake. The aneurysm according to the vascular surgeon team was filled with trash. When he squeezed it he filled my lower leg with blood clots totally cutting off blood flow. The surgery was seven hours long when I came out no pulse back in for another seven hours. Moral of the story don't let some stupid arrogant ******* touch any lump with a freaking pulse. Hope this saves a fellow aviato a lot of grief.

Thanks for posting. To add to this, I'll be interested in seeing how the JHMCS impacts the rate of neck and back problems. It's a great asset, but I'm back to wearing the old 55p, unless I absolutely need the JHMCS. We have yet to see the first generation of guys who've flown with it for their whole career.
