They had 420 airframes, dropped down to 400, and are going back up to 420 from what I understand. So no growth there.

Their plan 2 years ago was to not grow. Now the 5 year plan is to not grow. What if this economy holds another 10 years? I still maintain that if NJA is this worried about a downturn when the economy is this good, they don’t have the capitol to hold on long term when it goes bad, and they are probably doing just ok right now, and if 50 billionaires were knocking the door down for shares, NJA would expand. I’m not sure there is a major demand to expand.

I remember when Netjets had 600+ airframes and 3500 pilots with a plan to grow to 5000. Just sad...

So what you’re trying to say is that NetJets is not receiving enough supply of pilots to fulfill the demand?

They're not receiving enough who can meet their requirements AND has the "right" customer service skills. They're still being picky, or at least somewhat picky. I suspect if they have to ramp up hiring to 20 or more a month the customer service stuff may not seem as important as it does now.

The VP of Flight Ops is still saying they don't have a recruiting problem and that we have a healthy attrition level.

Just had another farewell post from an older pilot who is burned out and going into a non-flying job.

They don't have a recruiting problem? Since when is 7/15 showing up for class not a recruiting problem? When was the last month NJA saw a net positive of pilots? NJA has caused a large measurable number of pilots to walk away from the interview process because of their screw ups, on top of 18 year captains leaving for jobs considered 2nd rate just a few years ago. Sounds like management is trying to convince the pilot group that everything is just fine, hoping that the pilots don't have the internet or access to basic information...

I mean honestly and truly. NJA has no shortage of pilots who ooze delusion on the MB and on APC, but this is getting pathetic. What is it with that management and being totally ignorant to people and their ability to use basic math skills to see they are full of crap?

So far we've had 3 farewell messages posted, 2 departing to Kalitta, 1 to FedEx.

We just had another 17 year guy start class last week. That’s at least 10 NJ pilots that Brown has hired.

Nothing to look at here

IMHO,

(Cpt. 12 yrs) NJA is hobbled. No vision, no growth, nothing..
If you're on the fence, your efforts would be more productive seeking employment at any 121 air carrier. If all you want is home basing and are willing to sit right seat forever in a light jet along with long days/ short nights...please by all means...
