Didn’t take long for you to change your tune!

They were doing this stuff 3 years ago when I left. They would fly someone all year. Then, right before probation ended, they would fire them if they thought they fatigued or sicked out too much.

Some things never change. This is why it’s good to have two differing view points on these threads.

Wow! That is a big turnaround for you since you have been the biggest cheerleader for Netjets on this forum over the last several months.

Thankfully the job market for pilots is still strong and they can probably find better jobs elsewhere. All the airlines are hiring including airlines that hire a lot of NJA pilots including Spirit, JB and SWA.

I think they warned them like they warn all new hires that at month 10 or 11, they will look at the absence rate, the no shows and will probably let people go if they abuse it. If you are sick or are facing personal issues, talk to someone.

Not sure there is proof that people were canned for using sick leave only. Like all airlines, calls to dispatch are recorded, one need to be smart when calling and asking days off. I would tend to think that any company has pilots on probation for a few reasons and absenteeism might be one of them.

What about the people who got given a second chance and got their probation extended 1 more year instead of being canned?

One thing that's definitely tough is the lack of PTO the first year.

I was a big cheerleader and got asked to resign for trying to do the right thing and call out sick (got three little kids, **** ruins through our house) so my fellow workers and owners didn't get sick. Shocked! But last few classes had same thing, just not honest brokers! To many guys from what I'm told taking 3 year leaves? I don't know but I can tell you I passed all check-rides, never had training issues, busted my ass and had "Mr Seinfeld" give me a hug so to get canned for calling in sick for 4 times, Not a good place to work

So you went from working 5 months out of the year to zero months?

Thanks for the $50K type rating , guessing the area preparing for a recession. I was wrong all along!

Sorry to hear you are out of a job man, that sucks. But now you can learn from it and move on.

File an AIR21 case against them.

Call the Feds if they fired you for sick calls and you had no issues other than that. All of you sign on. NJA lost a large AIR21 case a few years back. 5 guys got lots of money and MCC had to be redone because of it.

The basis would be pressuring you to fly while sick. That’s asking you to fly with an invalid medical if you are sick.
