I know you're not that dumb. You have received dues refunds like the rest of us have, no?

Disagreement is fine. In fact, it's healthy for an organization such as ours to engage in spirited debate, float other ideas.
The problem here is that a vocal minority are trying to make this out to be some sort of big, divisive thing to our union, especially if there isn't another vote. But it's not. More people regularly engage in a myriad of threads on every topic than what you can see in the union building threads. I'm running into many pilots on the road, sharing hotel vans and FBO lobbies and lounges. I've heard no one even discussing the building. Its just not a "thing" for most of our group. They're content to let our union leaders lead. There won't be any big break between the membership if the building is done without another vote.
The GMM is on May 25. Anyone can attend, either in person or via phone. We have over 2600 pilots and I'll bet fewer than 50 bother attending or calling in. I'll be attending via phone. But it's not going to be a high interest subject. A small group (very small) will be upset if there isn't another vote. The vast majority will continue on as always.
I respect your opinion, but yes, we'll just have to agree to disagree.

But I just think it would be smarter for the E Board to do a follow up quick and dirty survey so those opposed can’t argue that they were ignored.
I know it will be built, in cash. The money is already in the bank, not in a pilot’s pocket, and already spent in the minds of the EBoard and a large portion of the membership. Perfectly compliant with the bylaws. But still, not smart poker.

I can't control what schedule other pilots fly so I don't worry about it. I'm a 7-7 guy through and through with a very occasional volunteer extended day. I'm probably leaving a load of money on the table but divorces are expensive too....

The ARC submitted their recommendations and the FAA is evaluating it. The FAA will then release the final draft with any changes. It is then when we will see what it entails and everyone will get a chance to comment on it. I don't think it will be nearly as restrictive as part 117 due to the cost to the industry. Hence why 121 freight was not included in the part 117 regs.
