Next question....
Can you go between the 7/7, 15 flex, and 18 fixed month to month? In other words, if you're on 7/7 in June, can you go 15 flex for July, and so forth? And it sounds like most of you fly the 7/7. But, the other two pay more. What's the deal?

We bid every 4 months, you can change every bid period if you have the seniority. You can always hold the 7&7 schedule. The other two may require a little bit of seniority. Most that want the 18 day can get it, the 15 day is a little harder. In training you are put on the 18 day, so you're getting max pay from day 1. After your type ride (or maybe after IOE, I can't remember exactly) you can bid to get off of the 18 day if you don't want it.
That may change with the new furlough mitigation LOA's. There is some talk that the 18 day may go senior, but I wouldn't worry about it too much, by the time we're hiring again, you won't have to worry about it.

You are the FA.
The ones I've met have been nice, but you won't interact with them like you do at the airlines. I've shared a hotel van with them a couple of times and gave one a ride home on a ferry flight, but that's it.
If you think it's hard getting hired here as a pilot, try getting on as a FA. I think we hired 4 or 5 in 2008.
