However...there really are not very many young NetJets pilots on the list today. 14 years of no hiring/no up-grades has taken its toll. All the pilots are 30+ years old and the vast majority are a good bit older. Even if there is no mandatory retirement age, the seniority list will purge itself in droves soon. All the younger pilots (if we can believe what they say) will quit at a ~much~ younger age than the few dinosaurs they vociferously critcize. If one hired on at 25 years old, he could look forward to more years as a captain than a first officer. I look forward to a new batch of young pilots.

I'm working past 65 because, despite all the negativity, the job is fun. I can quit any time and may quit tomorrow, but for now...I'm enjoying flying SIC, the travel...and the buffet breakfasts.
NetJets really is a great company to work for.
I'm glad I worked for a legacy carrier before coming here. I have my life-time passes, and I enjoyed the big salary, but the flying was completely routine. At NetJets, the only thing routine is constant change.
7 days off is plenty of time for all my retirement hobbies. With the kids all grown/gone, my home duties are greatly diminished. NetJets beats the hell out of coffee with all my aging friends siting around *****ing about medicare.
One day I'll wake up and decide the job is too much work, but for now, it's a cake walk.

I'm sure flight standards has retained you to do line checks since you can disqualify pilots withoit ever flying with them. That will save a lot of money.

I'm sorry you're too greedy to see that your ego is writing checks that your skill level can't cash. Past 65, you are incompetent, unsafe, and no longer needed. Get the F out.
