NJA still seems to pay more with less days worked than any of the other fractionals that have been calling me. If you want to make airline pay why not go to the airlines, I just don't like the idea of sitting in a cockpit on a 5 hour leg. Guess it depends on if you want to be a bus driver, or a limo driver.
Approximate numbers based on info on APC, (some numbers came from phone interviews) please correct me if I'm wrong on the numbers, but these are the best approximations i was able to make.
1st year pay
Captains:
NJ $479/day or 87.5K/year (182.5 days/year)
NJ $622/day or 113.6K/year after 5 years with 30% increase
FlexJet $441/day or 86K/year (195 days/year)
XOJet $433/day or 90K/year (208 days/year)
JetSuite $400/day or 83.2K/year (208 days/year)
FltOpts $271/day or 52K/year (approx 192 days/year)
First Officers:
NJ $311/day or 56.9K/year (182.5 days/year) - upgrade 10+ years
NJ $404/day 73.8K/year after 5 years with 30% increase
Flexjet $307/day or 60K/year (195 days/year) - upgrade ?
XOJet $250/day or 52.2K/year (208 days/year) - upgrade ?
JetSuite $225/day or 46.8K/year (208 days/year) - upgrade 2 years
FltOpts $177/day or 34K/year (approx 192 days/year) - upgrade ?

The seniority list is too young and too senior...add to that no retirement age and an exhausted, stagnant, and over-extended business mode (no growth). So if you decide to to come here, you can plan on a "career" in the right seat (of something tiny with no APU). That is a fact.

Is it a 20% or 30% increase like the article suggests? What does 30% "over five years" mean? Does that mean after 5 years it will have increased by 30% incrementally? Sorry, I was an English major....

Wrong. NJ is not a 10+ year upgrade. It's not a 20+ or 30+ year upgrade either. It is in fact a NEVER upgrade. Not ever. No matter what age you are, you will never upgrade at NJ...ever. That is a mathematical certainty.

So it is a 10+ year upgrade then lol. There is a ton of jobs out there that pay great with great schedules. Go get one of them if you're so angry. Hell, I'm making around 85K flying a pilatus 7/7 home every night. But I need to find a commutable job for reasons that aren't important to mention here. So that's why I'm lookin here and the majors. But I think working for the majors would be way too boring.

I've flown .7 legs all day in the mighty XL ( HPN-ACK-MVY-TEB, wash rinse ,repeat ) and 12.5 hour legs in the 747-400 JFK nonstop to Bahrain, it is all good, (and we were double crewed on the Boeing, plenty of sack time in the bubble), bottom line do what makes you happy, everybody is hiring.

As previously mentioned the raises are not linear. Everyone is touting 20-30% raises. These are the raises on the FO side of the house.
Year 1-10%
Year 2-11.6%
Year3-8.3%
Year 4-9.9%
Year 5-11.6%
Year 6-10%
Year 7-11.7%
Year 8-14.2%
Year 9-17.6%
Year 10-19%
As you can see the new hires are not getting the raises that everyone else is. If you adjust for inflation this new TA is far worse on the bottom end than the 2007 contract. It is very clearly designed to get the most votes for the least amount of money.

I challenge you to show your math. Also, based on your knowledge of the future, what fleet types will NJA see in say...2030? Also, will the Cubs ever win a WS?
I look forward to your well thought out and fact based response.
