What also seems weird is that one has to pay for ATP/CTP out of pocket first, and then they reimburse you 5000 (which I'm guessing will be taxed) after you finish IOE.

The reimbursement is not taxed.

Doesn’t seem that weird to me. If I had to guess they are looking for you to have a little skin in the game.

Now Corvus is offering a $10,000 new hire bonus for pilots currently holding an ATP certificate. Along with that they've added a $5000 relocation reimbursement for new hire pilots from outside the Anchorage area.

And they now have a "Junior Captain Program" which "offers PIC flying and PIC pay for qualified applicants holding First Officer Seniority" … whatever that means.

Maybe the captain wings come in the form of a sticker?

My guess would be it means dual qualified FOs until they hold CA through seniority, although dual qualified FOs would reduce the number of Captains required too...

Upgrade time?

Thanks

According to their website the most junior Dash captain has been with the company five years.

Down to a 2.5sh yr upgrade, would not be surprised to see it drop more...

What makes you think it will drop more? Are you flying at Ravn Alaska?

Looks like they are now hiring street captains. I guess that means their upgrade time is down to the minimum.

Anyone that is currently working for Ravn that can answer some questions for me?

How're your QOL, Equipment, Routes, Benefits, Do you like your job there? Anything you wish the company can improve on? I see that the upgrade times are dropping which is promising but what makes Ravn more appealing to you rather than Horizon or PenAir.

Alaska is on my bucket list with all the outdoor activities that it offers but regionals like Republic and Endeavor in the lower 48 are very enticing with pay and benefits.
